April 28- May 2

 
Remember to always send in a note if your child has a transportation change.  If your child is riding a different bus home with friend, you must send in a note. Students cannot ride a bus other than their regular bus without a bus pass signed from the office. The bus pass can be found on our school’s website.

During integrated reading we will continue our Charlotte's Web book study.
The students will:

- listen and visualize read aloud text Charlotte's Web.
- ask and answer questions about key details in read aloud text. (ELACC1SL2)
- retell story including key details. (ELACC1RL2)
- identify who is telling the story at various points in a text. (ELACC1RL6)
- compare and contrast characters in the story. (ELACC1RL9)
- learn about contractions.
- have small group phonics lessons depending on individual needs. (ELACC1.RF.1a, 2b,d, 3a,b,g)
- have differentiated guided reading lessons.
- compare and describe various animals by appearance, motion, growth and basic needs.(S1L1d)

During Writing Workshop the students will:
- begin writing how to paragraphs. (ELACC1W2)
- finish informative text with topic, facts, and closure from animal research collected from
Pebble Go.(ELACC1W2,ELACC1W6)
 
Spelling:
List 27- test Monday
List 28- put, play, away, again, off
 
In math the students will partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal parts using words halves, fourths, and quarters. (MCC1.G.3)

We will be having a Math Facts Egg hunt on Friday, April 18 at 1.  Have your child bring in a basket on Friday for the Egg hunt. Also please send in a bag of individually wrapped candy by Tuesday.
