This week we will:

- learn how to tell time to the half hour.
- review coins and learn how to count coins to determine value. 

- review AR, ER, IR, OR, & UR spelling patterns.

- learn about needs & wants, and goods & services. 

- work on fluency through Reader's Theater.

Field Trip this Friday

This Friday the second grade will be visiting the Cobb Safety Village.  
Important information:
1) Your child must wear pants and athletic shoes due to movement and activities at the Village.
2) If your child is bringing a lunch from home, make sure it is in a bag that can be thrown away and labeled with your child's name.  Also, please don't pack anything that needs to remain cold.
3) Mrs Kawczak will be helping me with this trip.  Thanks to all the parents that volunteered.
4) There are outdoor activities, therefore please make sure your child dresses appropriately for the weather.

- write a friendly letter to our parents.
- review Long O & U and AR, ER, IR, OR, & UR spelling patterns.

- learn about needs & wants, and goods & services.

We will not have new spelling words for a few weeks.  I want to review spelling patterns and rules for long vowels and r controlled vowels.

- research polar mammals through Pebble Go, then write an informational paragraph about mammal.

- learn about pushes and pulls (simple machines). 

- work on poetry study.

We will not have new spelling words for a few weeks.  I want to review spelling patterns and rules for long vowels and r controlled vowels.

- continue our Nonfiction text features unit.
- begin poetry study.

We will not have new spelling words for a few weeks.  I want to review spelling patterns and rules for long vowels and r controlled vowels.
